the lobes hurt the least. the cartilage on the side of an ear (kind of near the top) hurts so soooo muuch, i also have my tragis done - doesnt hurt at all, but the after care is quite intense - i have 7 friends with it done and ours all got infected.

I am thirty three and a female and here are some personal notes on the topic from me to you in connection to your question.
Well I do not know what a “snug” and/or “anti-tragus” is, but I had have three lobe piercings and one upper cartilage/top ridge piercings. I do not wear my earrings anymore due to social conflicts from other’s, but my upper cartilage was not painful, I think my first lower lobe piercing was the most painful and I got those when I was thirteen.
I have my upper navel and tongue pierced also and they are easy to care for in healing and were not very painful. I do not wear those anymore due to conflicts either.
I have my upper ********* pierced, it was painful, is very adult, can get extremely infected if not cared for correctly due to it’s location and cannot be legally obtained without being over the age of eighteen and/or with a parents presence and consent. I do not wear that piercing anymore also due to conflicts.
